Opportunity to sell your home is heating up in the Bolingbrook, Plainfield and Romeoville markets this fall. I expect the trend to continue into the winter selling season. Each community is currently under 3 months of supply. That is to say it would take just under 3 months to sell all the homes on the market with the current known number of people actively looking to purchase. That my friends is the definition of a "sellers market". Does it mean that you could command a higher price? Perhaps, but what is more relevant is the time it will take to sell your home if priced correctly. That would mean a very quick sale!
Further supporting the "sellers market" condition is the amount of homes being listed. While Plainfield and Bolingbrook have increased the number of newly listed homes, it is still a downward trend that fuels the lack of supply available.
